2 Wolves Chasing A Coyote Run By Fisherman

ER nurse Ryan Thorburn from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario was ice fishing in Heyden, Ontario when he experienced a surreal encounter with two wolves and a coyote.

Ryan had just finished fishing for the day and was packing up his gear and belongings when he saw two wolves chasing a coyote off in the distance and they were coming straight towards him.

“They ran right past me, the one right in front of me you see in the video, then the second wolf behind me,” Ryan told MLive. “The one behind me stopped and stared at me. It did frighten me because I don’t trust wolves. This was definitely a surreal experience.”

The wolves continued to chase the coyote and they eventually caught it. However, right as that happened, Ryan started up his snowmobile and that frightened the wolves into releasing the coyote from their grip.

It was the coyote’s lucky day because, once it was free from the wolves, it took off in one direction and the panicked wolves took off in the other. Ryan noted that he believes the coyote was injured during the incident because he watched it limp off into the woods.
