With so many awards given throughout the evening, one of the most-anticipated ones is the Male Artist of the Year. This year, the nominees were:

Jimmie Allen
Luke Combs
Thomas Rhett
Chris Stapleton
Morgan Wallen

Chris Stapleton is a busy man. Not only does he balance his family life and his own career, but he also is a guest artist on a lot of collaborations with other people. Recently he was featured on Taylor Swift’s song “I Bet You Think About Me” off her re-recorded album Red (Taylor’s Version). He also recorded Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters” for The Metallica Blacklist, a charity tribute album. It doesn’t just stop there. He appeared on Adele’s album 30 as well. His most recent album Starting Over debuted in 2020 and hit #1 on the US Top Country Albums chart. In 2021, he released “You Should Probably Leave” from the album, which also hit #1.

The presenters walked out onto the stage with envelope in hand to announce the winner of one of the biggest awards of the night. It’s no surprise that Chris Stapleton won! A well-deserved honor!

Congratulations!
