ACM Awards Announces Date And Location For 2024 Show

The Academy of Country Music Awards announced details of their 2024 awards show event on Monday (March 4).

The Academy of Country Music Awards ceremony will take place at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, on Thursday, May 16. The event will stream exclusively on Prime Video. This marks the second year in a row that the event will be held at The Star and streamed on Prime Video.

“Frisco, Texas, and The Star District proved to be the perfect new home for the evolution of this Emmy-nominated ‘Party,’ bringing music’s biggest global superstars to the passionate and loyal Texas Country Music fans!” ACM CEO Damon Whiteside said in a statement. “Fans will certainly want to be there in person to experience all the incredible moments we have in store, and we can’t wait to see everyone in Texas!”

Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks teamed up to host the 2023 ACM Awards. The two-hour, commercial-free celebration included 18 performances from 25 artists. Among the most memorable performance from last year were Ed Sheeran’s collaboration with Luke Combs for “Life Goes On,” Cody Johnson’s performance of “Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys” in honor of Willie Nelson’s 90th birthday, and Dolly Parton’s world premiere performance of her rock anthem, “World On Fire.”

The announcement of hosts for the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards is expected in the next few weeks, followed by nominee and performer announcements. 2023 marked the first year Garth Brooks hosted the event, and it was the second consecutive year for Dolly. Fans are hopeful that the duo will return to share hosting duties once again this time around.
