Grateful Americans Honor A Fallen Hero With Powerful Moment Of Silence In Crowded Airport

On Wednesday, July 22, the dignified transfer of four American military personnel killed in the ongoing conflict with Iran was observed.
President Donald Trump was at Dover Air Force Base, joined by Sec. of War Pete Hegseth and other members of the Trump administration, saluting the caskets as the remains of the fallen were returned to American soil.
The deceased service members who were returned to American soil from Operation Epic Fury were:
- Lt. Tyler James Feehan, 25, of Hawaii;
- Pvt. Isabella Gonzales, 19, of Texas;
- Sgt. Angel Rampersad, 28, of New York; and
- Sgt. Michael Emmanuel Swinton, 30, of North Carolina.

“It’s one of the hardest things to do as a president,” Trump said of attending dignified transfers, as quoted by The New York Times, adding, “It has to be done.”
However, the honors for the fallen did not end at Dover Air Force Base.
Trump also recognized the family of one of the fallen at his speech at a high school in Georgia, with the family sobbing as the audience offered their thanks for his service.
Powerfully, another display of honor occurred at an airport in North Carolina as strangers watched the return of the remains of one of the service members who died last month in the tragic B-52 Stratofortress crash at Edwards Air Force Base in Kern County, California.

Airport Guests Honor Fallen Service Member In North Carolina
As the remains of Maj. Alexander Davis, 34, returned to North Carolina, people waiting for their flights were captured on video honoring his service.
Maj. Davis was killed with seven others in a tragic and sudden crash of a B-52 Stratofortress at Edwards Air Force Base on June 15.
As Maj. Davis’ remains were transferred to a hearse, “Amazing Grace” was played on bagpipes.
Standing in silence inside one of the terminals of Raleigh-Durham International Airport, travelers took a moment to honor the memory and service of Maj. Davis.

Trump Recognizes Family Of Fallen Hero In Emotional Rally Moment
Upon meeting with the families of the fallen soldiers on July 22, Trump learned that one of the families — that of the late Lt. Tyler James Feehan — would be flying to Atlanta, Georgia, just outside of Marietta, Georgia, where Trump would be speaking that day.
Trump invited the family to join him aboard Air Force One for a flight there, and they wound up attending Trump’s rally at Wheeler High School, where Trump primarily focused upon the subject of the 7 million children who have already been enrolled in the new Trump Accounts initiative.
Still, Trump took a moment to recognize the Feehan family, honoring them and their late son, in his remarks.
Speaking on Lt. Feehan, Trump said, “This was a son who was like a flawless, perfect person … Brilliant, respected by everybody.”
He added, “He was a person that was going all the way — he was going to be a general, he would’ve been a general very quickly, he was heading in that path.”
Pointing to Heaven, Trump joined the students of Wheeler High in applauding the Feehans.

Trump honored family of fallen hero 1st Lt. Tyler Feehan and the entire stadium stood and cheered in support.
The President even gave them a ride home on Air Force One after the dignified transfer.

Notably, on the day leading up to the July 22 dignified transfer, Trump posted to Truth Social a tally of deceased Americans in wars and conflicts.
Here, he noted that 18 service members had died in the conflict with Iran since it began on Feb. 28.
Also included in his list was the military invasion of Venezuela, which occurred earlier this year, on Jan. 3, and saw no American military personnel killed.
However, that invasion, which resulted in the apprehension of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, did result in one service member being honored with the Medal of Honor after sustaining significant injuries.
