Season 20 Of America’s Got Talent Has Officially Come To An End
America’s Got Talent Season 20 kicked off on May 27, 2025. Because it’s the landmark 20th season, the show teased that its talent would be bigger and better than ever! Even in some of the auditions, they were skeptical of some acts moving forward because they weren’t good enough to be competing on this particular season.
Some standout performances came from Jessica Sanchez, who competed on Season 1 when she was just nine years old, Former Home Free member Austin Brown, and more!
After 22 episodes of riveting competition, the show’s finalists competed one last time on Tuesday, September 23.

This season, a whopping ten acts made it to the finals.
Chris Turner – freestyle rapper

Leo High School Choir- Chicago-area high school choir

Micah Palace – singer
Sirca Marea – acrobatic duo

The Results Are In…
The Season 20 finale featured two hours of performances from guest performers Ciara, Eric Lloyd, and Season 19 champion Richard Goodall.
Halfway through the show, host Terry Crew eliminated half the contestants, leaving just Chris Turner, LightWire, Jessica Sanchez, Jourdan Blue, and Leo High School Choir.
In the final minutes of the show, Crews lined up the five remaining finalists and revealed their fate:
5th place: LightWire
4th place: Leo High School Choir
3rd place: Jourdan Blue
Runner-up: Chris Turner
Which means that JESSICA SANCHEZ is your Season 20 champion of America’s Got Talent!!

Jessica Reacts To Winning 20 Years Later
AGT took time to post a photo of her as a child competing on Season 1 and now, after winning, writing, “An AGT champion 20 years in the making.”
After Sanchez won and did interviews, she made it home, or to a hotel room, to finally soak it all in. She went on Instagram and thanked everyone for voting for her.
“Thank you guys so much for everything…Thank you so much for voting for me, and for believing in me. I love you guys so much,” she said.
Sanchez also gave a shout out to Sofia Vergara, who pressed her Golden Buzzer for Sanchez during her audition. She also praised her fellow contestants, saying that she never thought she would win because of how talented everyone was.
