Although he didn’t win anything at the Screen Actor’s Guild Awards, Austin Butler made headlines for the way he treated some of Hollywood’s leading ladies. Butler, who has won the Golden Globe and BAFTA Award for his portrayal of Elvis Presley in the biopic Elvis, was nominated for Best Actor, but lost out to Brendan Fraser. The two actors are likely the top two contenders for the Oscar.

Butler was seated at the closest table to the stage, so most of the winners walked right past him. When Sally Field walked on stage to accept her Lifetime Achievement Award, she walked towards Butler, who offered to help her walk up the stairs. As they were arm in arm, you can see Field say, “Thank you for helping me!”

After she made it to the stage, she embraced Butler, who just seemed in awe to be in the presence of a legend!

A little later in the awards show, Jennifer Coolidge was announced as the winner of Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for her work on the show The White Lotus. She made her way to the stage by walking past Butler, who asked if she’d like help up the stairs. She took his arm and they made their way to the podium, where she gave an emotional, yet hilarious, speech.

E! News put the two clips of Butler helping Field and Coolidge to the stage, and paired it with a romantic version of “Can’t Help Falling In Love” by JVKE. The caption read, “Get you a man like Austin Butler.”

The Internet went nuts over these moments! Some of the comments were:

“A true gentleman.❤️”

“He won as soon as he helped those ladies 😍😍”

“His mama raised him right!”

“His Mother taught him well, she must be so proud watching him from above!”

“There aren’t many true gentleman out there these days 😍”
