Hi, I’m Carli! From a very young age, I’ve had a passion for country music and storytelling. Originally from Orange County, California, I grew up going to country concerts and listening to the classics every summer at the beach. From high school dances to road trips, and even my own wedding day — there’s always been a country song playing in the background. It’s more than just music to me; the lyrics and artists have given me the opportunity to remember life’s most meaningful moments.

I earned my degree in journalism at California Baptist University and have spent many years reporting and writing for political and entertainment news. As a little girl, I dreamed of covering stories from every corner of the world, and that dream has taken me to many big cities including Chicago, Washington, D.C. and even Berlin, Germany!

Before Country Rebel, I reported on Capitol Hill before returning to the West Coast and writing for a creative agency in sunny San Diego. I have been given incredible opportunities throughout my career to connect with absolutely amazing people, striving to leave a lasting impact on everyone who reads my words. Writing for Country Rebel has been a dream come true — uniting my love of newswriting with a lifelong passion for country music.

When I’m not writing, you can find me at a country concert, exploring new coffee shops, or traveling with my husband and two toddler boys!
