Avery Anna Was Named ACM New Female Artist Last Month
While performing at the Lone Star Smokeout, Texas’ Premier Country Music and BBQ Festival, Avery Anna was surprised during her set by her good friend and fellow country singer, Sam Barber.
He crashed her stage to tell her that she had won the ACM Award for New Female Artist! A voice over the microphone reiterated, “Today, Avery Anna joins the ranks of Ella Langley, Megan Moroney, and Miss Lainey Wilson. She is this year’s ACM New Female Artist!”
“I feel like we’re all winning this award together. Every single one of you who has supported me, and embraced my crazy ideas, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Every single one of you have a piece of this recognition too. I love music so much, it is like breathing to me, and I can’t believe I get to do this every day with the people I love,” she wrote on Instagram later that day.
Avery released five singles in 2025, her biggest hit being “Dusty Bibles,” as well as an album titled Let Go Letters, which were all written based on letters her fans wrote her at concerts.
Just a few days after her first ACM Award, she was announced as a performer at the 61st ACM Awards.
Avery Anna Performed “Bang Bang” At The ACM Awards
Avery Anna, hot off the heels of winning her big award, performed at the ACM Awards. She sang the Cher classic “Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down),” written by the late Sonny Bono.
Cher released it in 1966, as did Nancy Sinatra. Sinatra’s version gained significant popularity in 2003 when Quentin Tarantino included it in his movie Kill Bill: Vol. 1.
Avery often performs the song live during her sets, including her 2026 Stagecoach performance!
