Blake Shelton’s “Ole Red” Empire Is Expanding With A Seventh Location
Country music superstar Blake Shelton opened his first Ole Red bar, restaurant, and entertainment venue in his hometown of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, in 2017. And soon, he’ll open his seventh location!
The establishment is named after the song “Ol’ Red,” which Shelton covered and turned into a popular country hit in 2002. The song was previously recorded by Kenny Rogers and George Jones.
The Ole Red empire has expanded since the Tishomingo location opened. You can now stroll into Ole Red when you visit the following cities:
- Gatlinburg, Tennessee
- Nashville, Tennesssee
- Las Vegas, Nevada
- Orlando, Florida
Plus, there’s a second location in Nashville. It’s located inside the city’s airport (BNA) in Terminal C.
Ole Red is owned and operated by Ryman Hospitality Properties, Inc. as part of the company’s Opry Entertainment division. Shelton has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 2010.
Now, another location is preparing to open its doors in a brand-new city…
When And Where Will The New Ole Red Location Open?
On Wednesday (April 29), Shelton, Boxcar Development, and Opry Entertainment Group announced that the seventh Ole Red location will open in 2027. The new location is in…downtown Indianapolis, Indiana!
A press release states that the Indianapolis location will be 37,000 square feet and feature multiple levels. Construction is expected to start later this year (2026).
The establishment will be nestled within the heart of the city’s famous Fieldhouse District. It will be close to many other attractions and amenities, including Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Colin Reed, the Executive Chairman of Opry Entertainment Group, explained why they chose Indianapolis as the new location’s home.
“Indianapolis is a market we have admired for some time, and we are thrilled to have a like-minded partner who shares our vision and is helping lead the continued evolution of the downtown entertainment district,” Reed said. “We look forward to expanding the Ole Red brand and creating a best-in-class entertainment and hospitality destination for the Indianapolis community.”
Shelton also shared his excitement about the new location’s upcoming opening, saying:
“Man, the energy in this place is just unreal. Every time I come through, I catch myself thinking up reasons to hang around a little longer. You put a city together that loves sports and country music this much, well, that’s about as good as it gets for me. Here we come Indy!”
