He might not look country, but he sure sounds it. So who did this contestant pick as his coach?
First of all, who is Justin Whisnant? Raised in the small town of Bearden, Oklahoma Whisnant has been playing music his entire life. According to Tulsa’s Channel 2 News, he grew up singing church music, and talked about working in the oil fields after high school during his Voice interview. Later, country music came naturally.
Finally, Whisnant pursued his ultimate dream and passion: music. But only after he was given an ultimatum from his boss at the time, to choose music or a job. Naturally he chose music, and we are thankful he did!
Even though Adam Levine was the first coach to spin around, Whisnant went with his Okie roots. Blake Shelton hit his button just before he finished singing his rendition of the Cole Swindell megahit, “Ain’t Worth The Whiskey”.
