ABC News
For months, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani tried their best to brush off rumors of a potential duet between the two of them. So fans of the couple were thrilled when Stefani confirmed the news in April, when she shared a photo of the back cover of Shelton’s upcoming album, If I’m Honest.
The photo showed that Stefani is named as a featured artist on the album’s ninth track, called “Go Ahead and Break My Heart.”

Then on May 3, Shelton announced his plans to debut his duet with Stefani during The Voice on Monday night (May 9). Since the couple started dating while they were working as coaches on the show, it seemed like the perfect place to showcase their new duet for the first time.
SOOO…. I’m performing next week on @NBCTheVoice. I’m performing with @gwenstefani. We’re performing a song off my album we wrote together!

Hours before they were set to appear on stage, Stefani shared an adorable snapshot with Shelton and mentioned their duet. The photo shows the couple standing in front of a tree they carved their initials into. Shelton gave Stefani a sweet kiss on top of the head while she looked at the camera with a huge smile on her face.
If anything, the photo only got fans more excited for Shelton and Stefani’s duet performance. Until then, enjoy the first single from Shelton’s If I’m Honest, called “Came Here to Forget.”
