Operation Support Our Troops - America
Ronnie Dunn is doing his best to spread the Christmas spirit this year.
The Folds of Honor organization works to provide educational support to spouses and children of America’s fallen and wounded soldiers. A special foundation that Dunn has decided to team up with as part of a Country Outfitter’s Win Your Wish List giveaway.
Dunn spoke about Folds of Honor, and why he felt compelled to shed light on the work they do.
‘This life that I live is almost too good to be true in so many ways. I knew I wanted to shine a light on the incredible work of Folds of Honor. The service and sacrifices that these heroic people have and continue to make can never be forgotten.’
Below is a video Folds of Honor posted to their Twitter.

Out of 10,213 recipients, Dunn chose Wesley Bauguess and her daughters Ryann and Ellie as his Win Your Wish List winner. They will be flown to Las Vegas for the Reba, Brooks & Dunn: Together in Vegas show, and will even have the opportunity to meet Dunn, Kix Brooks, and Reba McEntire backstage. Now that is a Christmas present!
Unfortunately, the Bauguess family has been through a lot to get to this point. Wesley’s husband Larry, was an Airborne Ranger serving with the 82nd Airborne Division in Afghanistan when he was killed while attending a border peace meeting in Pakistan.
From what Wesley knows, Major Larry Bauguess died saving the men in his unit.
Not only will the girls attend the concert with their mom but they also receive The Folds of Honor scholarship which helps shoulder the burden of paying for their education. To date, Folds of Honor has raised more than $70 million and awarded 10,000 educational scholarships to family members of military heroes killed or disabled during combat.
Watch Wesley Bauguess’ recipient story below. We are thankful for her husband’s bravery, and for all of the men and women who serve our great country.
