You’ll Never Guess Why Kelly Clarkson Named Her Daughter ‘River Rose’!

With so many baby names to pick from, it can be hard for new parents to pick one. Kind of a big deal, right?
For Kelly Clarkson and her husband Brandon Blackstock, the name River Rose came easier than one might think. If you ever wondered how they came up with that creative (and absolutely adorable) name for their daughter, keep reading.
“We live on a river, so it wasn’t that creative.” the singer told People magazine. “We were outside on our balcony, and we both looked at each other and were like, ‘What about River? That’s kind of cool.”
As for the Rose part, that came from Clarkson’s mom, whose maiden name was the inspiration for River’s middle name. There you have it! The alliteration was perfect, and a beautiful name for a little girl.
Clarkson may not think the name is that creative, but we sure do! Can’t wait to see what she’ll be naming baby number two.
