After almost ten years in the country music game, Billy Ray Cyrus began recording two Christian albums.
Time Flies and The Other Side were both released in 2003 and the latter debuted at No. 5 on the Top Christian Albums chart.
The Other Side produced three singles, two of which charted including “Face Of God”. It was written by the talented songwriters who wrote Brad Paisley’s “When I Get Where I’m Going”, Brooks & Dunn’s “Ain’t Nothing ‘Bout You”, and “Gone” by Montgomery Gentry.
While the song did relatively well on the charts, the music video is what makes the song.
It features Cyrus’ then three-year-old daughter, Noah. Cyrus sings the following sweet lyrics to his youngest child.
“Why am I filled with unshakable faith
When I look at that child so fragile and sweet?
There’s something eternal I see in her face
Something much more than her mother and me.”
He pushes her on a tree swing and you can see how much love is between them.
We love seeing Cyrus with his children, and we are about to get a chance to see a lot more of that. In his upcoming album, Thin Line, he collaborates with his children, Miley and Braison.
Out September 9, Thin Line is expected to take us through a journey of what Cyrus has been working on the last few years.
You can preorder the album here on Amazon and here on iTunes. You automatically receive an instant download of two songs, “Tulsa Time” featuring Joe Perry and “Hey Elvis” featuring Glenn Hughes!
