Blake Shelton Finally Reveals The Woman ‘Honey Bee’ Is About

Clevver Music

Confessing the woman behind his 2011 hit, the country superstar shocked thousands when he revealed that his “Honey Bee” was someone they’d never expect.

Having been on NBC’s The Voice for every one of the 11 seasons, Blake Shelton has revealed plenty of fun facts about himself and his music…but nothing more surprising than what he blurted out in this new clip.

Uploaded to The Voice’s official Facebook page earlier, the segment shows all four coaches bantering and Miley Cyrus brings up his song saying something along the lines of “Honey Mustard”.

Demanding to know who the song was about, Adam Levine prompts Blake for an answer…but nobody was expecting what he said next!

“Who’s that song about!?,” Adam asks him.

“Alicia,” Blake says simply with Alicia Keys following up with her own commentary: “I am a honey bee!”

Obviously he’s kidding around just poking fun at Adam and Miley, and the crowd erupted with laughter!

Fun fact: Blake actually didn’t write the song. Rhett Akins (father of Thomas Rhett) and Ben Hayslip penned this supersonic country jam!
