Blake Shelton Gets All Tongue-Tied In Front Of Gwen Stefani On ‘The Voice’

While The Voice is now in the live shows, each episode still features pre-taped content from behind the scenes. We get to see the finished product when we watch these shows, as each coach flawlessly speaks to the viewers about their team, the show, and the other coaches. 

But it takes a lot of work to get those finished shots. After all, the coaches are only human, and they experience their fair share of flubs. Luckily for us, The Voice decided to share a short clip of some of these outtakes. 

Alicia Keys opens the clip by saying that things “don’t always go as planned” behind the scenes on the show. She proves this later in the clip after her high heel gets caught on a rug and nearly sends her flying to the ground.

Blake Shelton was adamant that he never messes up like the other coaches. He confidentially looked straight at the camera as he proclaimed, “The other coaches have a lot of flubs and mistakes, but I’m always on my game.“

However, The Voice had a good batch of footage to prove otherwise. Just like the other coaches, Shelton ends up getting a bit tongue-tied on set, especially when he’s around his girlfriend and fellow coach, Gwen Stefani. 

One clip shows all four coaches standing together as Shelton tries to speak to the viewers at home. But he messes up terribly, and ends up saying, “If you were as live as us, it would.“

Stefani couldn’t help but smile as Shelton tried to figure out what he was saying. As for Shelton’s frenemy Adam Levine, he expressed his support by making random dinosaur noises.

Although Shelton claimed he doesn’t mess up on The Voice, the outtakes prove otherwise. In addition to his many flubs, Shelton can also be seen dancing like a goofball around the set.
