Blake Shelton & Michael Bublé Both Recorded “Home,” And They Eventually United To Sing It As A Duet
Country singer Blake Shelton left his home state of Oklahoma to join Michael Bublé in Canada for a duet of their heartbreaking ballad, “Home,” in dedication to the troops.
“Before we sing this,” said Shelton. “I know you’re very powerful, you’re Michael Bublé, and this is your special but if it’s okay with you I wanna dedicate this song to all of our men and women in the military over there lookin’ out for us right now because they’re a long way from home.”
As expected, Bublé responded “absolutely,” and they began their powerful performance. The two impressive vocalists’ voices intertwined flawlessly, making for a beautiful performance.
The duet was a part of Bublé’s 2012 Christmas special, Michael Bublé Home for the Holidays.

The Canadian singer released “Home” off his 2005 album, It’s Time. Three years later, Shelton adopted the song and released it as a single.
Shelton’s rendition ended up reaching the top spot on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
Since “Home” is not traditionally a Christmas song, the two singers changed the lyrics up a little bit so it was more fitting for the holiday season.
You can watch the pair’s touching Christmastime performance of “Home” in the clip below. We won’t blame you if you find yourself wiping away a few tears from your eyes as they sing. No kidding, it’s that emotional.
Our hearts and prayers are with all of our servicemen and women who can’t come home for the holidays this year. This song is for you.
