Bringing their collaboration off Chris Young’s Christmas album, It Must Be Christmas, to life, Brad Paisley joined Young onstage at the 2016 CMA Country Christmas special for a breathtaking duet of “The First Noel.”
Young and Paisley enchant with their powerful harmonization of the deeply emotional lyrics detailing the birth of Jesus Christ. Paisley takes lead on guitar allowing for Young to pour all his focus in hitting the more challenging notes the Christmas classic possesses.
Jennifer Nettles returned to host CMA Country Christmas hosted at the Grand Ole Opry. The night has become a treasured holiday tradition amongst the world of country music, where some the biggest names of the genre come together in celebration of the holidays.
Young released It Must Be Christmas this past October featuring two original songs, “Under the Weather” and “It Must Be Christmas,” co-written by the man himself. You can listen to their performance of “The First Noel” in the video below!
