There’s no mistaking Chris Young‘s voice for anyone else’s. That voice has helped Young become one of the brightest stars in Nashville, and led to him becoming the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry.

Young has earned an impressive total of eight number one hits since he made his debut in 2006. One song that is perfectly poised to become his ninth number one is his current single “Losing Sleep.”

Released in May 2017, “Losing Sleep” is the lead single off of Young’s upcoming album of the same title. Co-written by Young, Chris DeStefano, and Josh Hoge, “Losing Sleep” is full of romantic and sultry lyrics.

Young sings directly to his special someone in the song, and describes the connection they share. As he sings “Every single touch is something special, when we’re wrapped up in those sheets.”

As you would expect, a song as romantic as “Losing Sleep” warrants a music video to match. Young certainly didn’t disappoint when he finally dropped the highly anticipated video on Thursday (September 14).

The music video starts out by altering between shots of Young and a beautiful red-headed woman, who is getting ready for a date with him. They finally meet up at a bar, and you can feel the sparks fly between them.

All of that chemistry reaches a boiling point as the couple turns in to retire for the evening. They share a series of passionate kisses and embraces, acting as though they are the only two people in the world.

As sexy as the video is, it’s tastefully done. Still, it is guaranteed to send your heart racing by the time it’s through.
