College Student Suspected Of Drunk Driving Shocks Officers When He Starts Juggling During Traffic Stop

A college student from the University of Central Arkansas has become a star after a video of his unique response to a traffic stop went viral.

Blayk Puckett, a junior at UCA, was pulled over Friday night (March 3) after leaving the library. Puckett told media that he had a brake light out and was driving slow to avoid drawing attention to the faulty light. The student’s cautious driving only drew more attention to him and caused cops to suspect that he was driving under the influence.

“A lot of times, especially around a college campus, the later in the night it gets the slower they go and especially if they almost hit a curb once it’s a typical indication they might be impaired,” said UCA police sergeant Keith McKay.

McKay and another officer followed Puckett as he pulled into the vacant parking lot of a BBQ restaurant. What unfolded next made this traffic stop unlike anything we’ve ever seen. And, it was all caught on police cameras.

After Puckett exited the car and put his hands up, sergeant McKay noticed something.

“What’s that in your pocket? “

“This is going to sound weird, but I’m a magician.”

Puckett, also a proficient juggler, proved his talent and his sobriety when the officer allowed him to get in his car for juggling clubs.

“I knew I could prove I hadn’t been drinking – especially with juggling clubs in the back seat,” Puckett said. “It’s just more fun when you can juggle and have more fun with the officers than a standard traffic stop that’s boring and scary.”

“I try to make as much fun as I can but this was absolutely the most fun I’ve had any time I’m treated to that,” said McKay.

In a matter of hours after Little Rock news stations posted the police video from the traffic stop, millions had viewed it. Take a look at the full video below to see for yourself why. To see more from Blayk Puckett and to follow his juggling adventures, click here
