Country Superstar Powers Through Illness To Deliver Mind-Blowing ‘National Anthem’

This country singer just got to fulfill a lifelong dream of his! Longtime Nashville Predators super fan and platinum recording artist Dierks Bentley hit the ice of Bridgestone Arena before the puck dropped to deliver a mind-blowing National Anthem, kicking off Game 4 of the Stanley Cup.

“Please join 13-time Grammy-nominated artist and longtime Predators season ticket holder Dierks Bentley!” was announced prior to his breathtaking performance. “As we honor the United States with the singing of the National Anthem.”

The country singer ditched vocal rest and powered through illness – which recently forced him to cancel many shows – to fulfill his longtime dream of singing the “Star Spangled Banner” before a NHL playoff game. In addition to Bentley, some of the biggest names in Nashville have come out to sing the anthem such as Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban and many more. 

The Predators defeated the Penguins 4-1, tying up the series 2-2 going into Game 5 of the playoffs. The teams will meet back up in Pittsburgh this Thursday (June 8), returning back to Nashville for Game 6 on Sunday (June 11).
