Dierks Bentley’s Music Video Is A Chilling Reminder Of Your Worst Breakup

VEVO/Dierks Bentley

A heart-wrenching duet that will dredge up every feeling that crossed your heart when you were trying to get over everything that had happened.

Going along with the entire theme of his album, Black, Dierks Bentley stays true to his promise for a darker, more connected album that explores the less-talked-about side of relationships and love.

A Breathtaking Duet

Bentley pairs with pop/rock goddess, Elle King for a bluesy-styled hit that tugs at your heartstrings.

Shot entirely in black and white, the video for “Different For Girls” takes Bentley’s thoughts on breakups to an entirely new level with the added visual component.

Highlighting the difference between how men and women handle breakups and the extremes of both, the song cuts deep with the bitter truth of the sex, booze, and damaged emotions in the aftermath of a breakup.

The songs’ lyrics spell out the truth clear as day with lines like,

“she don’t text her friends and say, I gotta get laid tonight” and “It’s different for girls when their hearts get broke”.

Pair that with live scenes portraying heartbreak, emptiness, and a longing for the companionship that was taken so quickly – and you have a recipe for tears.
