Comedian and television host Ellen DeGeneres had her fans rolling with laughter when she managed to crash a “jam session” held by the talented coaches on NBC’s hit show The Voice. Talking to her live audience, she explained, “I don’t know if you’ve been watching The Voice, but they did something really cool… It was really great I thought.”
As the host cued her team, footage of all four Voice coaches filled the screen, individually panning to each performer showcasing their flawless vocals and incredible instrumental abilities. Singing a wondrous rendition of the song “Waterfalls” by TLC, the singers were a harmonious blend of bold talent and upbeat energy. However, one guest performer stood out above all, as DeGeneres was featured in the performance sporting a bohemian headband and playing the mandolin! The audience burst into laughter as the quirky comedian’s cropped self commandeered the performance by exercising her hilarious vocals while desperately attempting to “share” the microphone with coach Gwen Stefani.
Making the performance her very own, DeGeneres began to put her own twist on the video by accidentally breaking into a performance of the incorrect song! Apologizing for the flub after a confused look from singer Blake Shelton, DeGeneres was unable to control her riffing and wacky notes before closing out their unexpected performance a loud “Yeah!”
