Watch The ‘Footloose’ Cast Kick The Dust Up With Iconic Line Dance

Before Julianne Hough and Kenny Wormald got down and dirty on the dance floor in 2011 drama Footloose, Kevin Bacon and his fellow dancing elites ruled the world of line dancing. In the 1983 musical drama, the teenagers of Bomont kicked the dust up in one of the most iconic line dances to ever hit the silver screens.

After a car crash devastates the small town of Bomont, Georgia, the authorities put a ban on dancing by the instruction of Reverend Moore. Fast forward a few years and city slicker Ren McCormack moves to town, quickly enlisting the reverend’s daughter on a mission to overrule the outdated law.

Cut to the beat of Kenny Loggins “Footloose”, the graduating seniors of Bomont High epically celebrated their impending graduation with a proper southern prom in a grain mill residing outside their town still under a strict “no dancing” law. The teens “cut loose”, absolutely dancing the night away with a line dance still talked about three decades later.
