Garth Brooks & Chris Young Enchant With Inspirational Duet Of ‘The River’

Garth Brooks invited a hand-picked selection of country music stars to join him on stage at his free Nashville concert held as Ascend Amphitheater Oct. 24 for his 7 Diamond Celebration.
As if his star-studded event couldn’t get any better, Brooks invited Chris Young to join him on stage at his celebratory event through Twitter four days prior, to which Young responded less than 30 minutes later, “Absolutely!”
Young performed a duet alongside the living legend to the tune of Brooks’ “The River.” They traded off singing the enchanting lyrics of the inspirational song making for an overall unforgettable performance.
Young took to Instagram to express his immense joy and excitement to sing with “someone [he looks] up to so much.”

Brooks held the concert in celebration of history-making career in country music. The seven-diamond certified singer is also the first artist of his stature to make his music available for streaming on Amazon Music.
