Gavin Rossdale Reveals Why Gwen Stefani ‘Will Always Be My Muse’

Remaining mostly quiet since their divorce back in 2015, Gavin Rossdale is finally opening up about his separation from Gwen Stefani. After 13 years of marriage and over 20 years in each other’s lives, it’s fair to say that they have left a permanent mark on one another’s life. That mark for Rossdale being his music.

Following in his interview last week with Daily Star where the singer revealed that whether he likes it or not Stefani “will always be my muse” and “every song” he writes is influenced by her, Rossdale explains how “Gwen still influences” him.

“I was with [Gwen] for 20 years,” said Rossdale in an interview with United Kingdom talk show This Morning. “So much in the same way I think for her material, I’m all over that material. And for me, she’s all over mine. It’s impossible to separate that.”

The rock band Bush frontman recently signed on as a coach for The Voice UK and shares custody of their three sons, Kingston (10), Zuma (8), and Apollo (3) with Stefani. The boys are currently staying with Stefani in Los Angeles while he finishes up wrapping the recent season of The Voice UK, but he shares he’s trying to keep in touch with them as much as possible.

“If they ring to say they miss me, or they don’t answer my texts, I feel bad,” he shared. “My 10-year-old rang at 3 a.m. He told me he wanted to see me and he’s got my latest song and has been playing it.”

You can catch Rossdale on The Voice UK Saturdays on BBC One.
