Hank Jr. Absolutely Shreds The Guitar In Face-Melting Medley

YouTube/Space City Shows 2

Bocephus fans, buckle up…he’s about to take you on one helluva ride!

When attending a Hank Williams Jr. show, one will be able to witness his many legendary talents. He’s a great singer-songwriter, but he really wows us when he plays all the different instruments!

He’s known to work in some songs he can play the piano so thunderously, we thought only Jerry Lee Lewis could play that way. He can wail on the harmonica and boy, can he shred on the guitar.

He doesn’t do this for every show, but one lucky crowd at Sam Houston Race Park in 2014 was in for a treat when he performed a guitar medley, followed by his iconic song “Family Tradition”.

He started the medley off with Ted Nugent’s “Cat Scratch Fever” and seamlessly transitioned into Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Sweet Home Alabama”. His next song was ZZ Top’s “La Grange” and finished off the medley with Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way”.

One part of the guitar medley got so good, it made our face make this weird look that we can only assume was our face actually melting.

Watch the rockin’ medley and “Family tradition” Performance below.
