Indy Feek Experiences A ‘First’ That Would Make Her Mama Proud

Since Joey Feek’s passing in March 2016, her family’s life will never be the same.

Although she is gone, they have continued to live their lives how she would want them to. She left behind a wonderful family including her husband, Rory, his two adult daughters from a previous relationship, Heidi and Hopie, and a young daughter, Indiana.

Indiana has been experiencing several “firsts” since her mother passed away, but we know that Joey has been by her side every step – or crawl – of the way.

In August, Indiana learned how to crawl, which for any child is a momentous occasion, but because of her Down Syndrome, makes this feat an even bigger deal. At two-and-a-half years old, Indiana is finally on the move and her mama must be so proud.

She experienced another first on Thursday (Sept. 22) when she rode a horse with her papa for the first time ever.

Rory shared a sweet photo of his little girl with the caption, “Somebody’s smiling in heaven. Indy got to take her first ride on a horse today…and she absolutely loved it.”

You can tell by the look on Indiana’s face that she was having the time of her life! Her mama was most definitely watching her from Heaven and giving her a round of applause.
