Paired with an entire plethora of poultry-styled puppets, the late Jim Nabors sings his heart out praising his country roots in a nod to John Denver.

In this unforgettable clip from The Muppet Show, Nabors and the Muppet Country Band jam out in this barnyard bash that features Nabors on lead vocals and many of the funny Muppet characters singing backup.

Nabors moves around this farm featurette singing “Thank God I’m a Country Boy” with all his might and eventually makes it over to a collection of clucking chickens making all sorts of instrumental noise and conducts them as if he were in front of an orchestra!

This fun-filled family video is a reminder of what an icon and prominent figure Nabors was during his time on television. Beloved by Americans everywhere, he truly brought joy and happiness to those who watched his shows and was a treasured part of pop culture for decades.
