Jim Nabors Conducts Chickens In Rendition Of John Denver’s “Thank God I’m a Country Boy”

Paired with an entire plethora of poultry-styled puppets, the late Jim Nabors sings his heart out praising his country roots in a nod to John Denver.
In this unforgettable clip from The Muppet Show, Nabors and the Muppet Country Band jam out in this barnyard bash that features Nabors on lead vocals and many of the funny Muppet characters singing backup.
My tribute to #JimNabors who got his start at Channel 3 in 1957. He always gave his friends in #CHA credit for helping kick off his amazing career. Story includes rare photos, video, and his first national singing appearance. https://t.co/QPFuXB1MYp pic.twitter.com/kZICe6q07N

Nabors moves around this farm featurette singing “Thank God I’m a Country Boy” with all his might and eventually makes it over to a collection of clucking chickens making all sorts of instrumental noise and conducts them as if he were in front of an orchestra!
