Kelly Clarkson Delivers Unearthly A Cappella National Anthem Before World Series

Powerhouse vocalist Kelly Clarkson kicked off Game 3 of the World Series back in 2010 prior to the Texas Rangers face off against the San Francisco Giants.

“And now, ladies and gentlemen we ask you to please rise and for all fans to please remove your caps as Forth Worth-native and 2002 ‘American Idol,’ Kelly Clarkson, honors America with the singing of our National Anthem,” the announcer proclaimed as Clarkson stood center field.

Known for delivering unearthly performances of  the “Star-Spangled Banner,” the Fort Worth-native gave our nation’s beloved anthem her all. The audience of thousands were commanded to silence by Clarkson’s stunning vocals, the crowd erupting with applause as she perfectly executed the final note.

This marked the state of Texas’ first-ever World Series game win, the Houston Astros previously swept in 2005. However, the San Francisco Giants inevitably took home the trophy, the team winning four out of a possible seven games.
