Lady A’s Return To Music Tugs At Your Heart With Searing Lyrics And Brilliant Harmonies

Together for more than ten years, Hillary Scott, Dave Haywood, and Charles Kelley have fine tuned their harmonies and songwriting efforts to the point of being nearly effortless. Released on June 9th, 2017, Lady A’s newest surefire hit, Heart Break, exposes each facet of being single – traipsing through walking away from a relationship, self-love, mournful yearning for a love lost, and finding comfort in the arms of someone new. 

Filled with tracks reminiscent of some of their biggest hits, and chock-full of new, moody sounds, this full-length release speaks directly to your soul. They crafted songs focused directly on heartbreak, like “Hurt”, and connect deeply with their core fanbase.

Touching on how their new song “Army” reaches their audience, Dave Haywood, revealed the writer’s meaning behind it. 

“The way she explained [‘Army’] was ‘This is something that I would love for a male to be able to say. That even though the male feels like he’s the soldier. The woman is really the army.'” 

Adding in bubbly, upbeat, and soulful tracks like “You Look Good” and “Think About You”, this beloved trio celebrate the refreshed, new outlook someone experiences when exiting a relationship and finding yourself again. 

“I love this song so much!” Hillary Scott says of ‘Think About You’. “The lyric is so tongue-in-cheek….you know that guy brings up an old memory and you’re like ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about.'”
