Luke Bryan Hysterically Blows Catch Phrase Battle On The Tonight Show

County music star Luke Bryan shook up The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon when the crooner teamed up with the host for a thrilling battle of the game Catch Phrase. Playing against actors Octavia Spencer and and Jim Lithgow, the live audience was destined for a viewing filled with laughter and anticipation. 

As Bryan entered the stage and recognized his famous opponents, he nervously admitted to Fallon, “I appreciate you getting world class actors in here to compete against them.” After a quick pep talk from the comedian, Bryan was ready to roll in one of the most exciting games of Catch Phrase we’ve ever enjoyed!

Although the beginning of round one held a slower pace, it quickly picked up as Lithgow’s last minute correct guess of the word “blackberry” left Bryan and Fallon scrambling to beat the clock. However, it was the country singer’s impression of jumping rope that snagged the two their last second victory and sent the audience wild! 

The boys held onto their win into the second round, as Bryan’s hysterically accurate Scooby Doo impression left Spencer and Lithgow helpless trying to convey the term “nailed it”. However, Fallon’s ego was incredibly large that night, as he told his competitors, “It’s two [to] zip, but this third round is worth 8,000 points and bragging rights and maybe a “Tonight Show” t-shirt.”

It was the third round that defeated the boys and sent them home without a victory! Although Spencer briefly struggled to name child star “Shirley Temple”, it was Bryan’s lack of an attempt to describe the term “off the record”. As the buzzer screamed, Fallon threw his hands up and yelled at a disappointed Bryan, “We lost!”

Despite the tragic loss, the players and viewers had a riveting experience watching the heated battle full of laughs and cutthroat competition! Check out the video below to witness it for yourself!
