Luke Bryan surprised his crowd in Atlantic City in 2014 with an electrifying cover of Bon Jovi’s “Wanted Dead or Alive.”

“So is this the pre-party, the now party, the after party or where in the hell is the after party is what I want to know” jokes Luke before spontaneously belting out the opening line of “Wanted Dead or Alive.”

“I’ve never even sang that song to anybody before” Luke tells the crowd before asking his crew: “Hey do y’all know it? Does the band know it?”

His crew must have given him the go ahead because shortly after Luke hopped off his piano and continued on with a lively cover of the rock song. The crowd sang along enthusiastically to the song until Luke stopped midway through and said “Alright, that’s enough” before quickly changing the tone of the show with his heartbreaking “Do I.”

“Wanted Dead or Alive” was released as the third single off Bon Jovi’s Slippery When Wet album in 1987. The song peaked at No.7 on Billboard Hot 100 regained popularity amongst younger audiences after it became the theme song to Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch.
