The R&B, soul, funk, jazz, disco, pop, rock band Earth, Wind and Fire has been making music since before any of the three members of Lady Antebellum were born, but that doesn’t mean a collaboration is out of the question!

In fact, they will be joining forces a couple times on Wednesday (June 6). Once for their highly anticipated CMT Music Awards performance and another to film an episode of CMT Crossroads.

Immediately after the awards show, CMT will film its very first outdoor Crossroads episode titled CMT Crossroads: Earth, Wind & Fire and Friends, and will feature collaborations with Lady A, Darius Rucker, Martina McBride, Sara Evans, Drake White and Dan + Shay.

The two Grammy Award-winning groups closed out the CMT Music Awards with an epic routine that included Lady Antebellum’s newest single “You Look Good”. The soulful, bluesy feel of “You Look Good” went perfectly with EWF’s signature sound. They also sang Earth, Wind, and Fire’s iconic song “September”.

The performance got the entire audience on their feet clapping and singing along. CMT Music Awards are known for the collaborations and we feel as though this is one people will be talking about for a while!
