Petting Zoo Animals Take Slippery Stroll To Reach Breakfast

The struggle is real. It’s the dead of winter and you have somewhere to be. The only problem is that snow and ice make it nearly impossible without risk to life and limb.

A hungry and enthusiastic bunch of petting zoo animals from Vanderlaand The Barnyard Zoo in Ontario, Canada, found out first-hand just how tricky it can be to reach your destination on ice.

A video posted to Instagram by Ruth Machan-Vanderlaand, owner of The Barnyard Zoo, shows a small parade of sheep and goats led by a brave alpaca slipping and sliding along an ice covered driveway on their way to their morning meal. Even though some fell and tumbled, we have to give these critters some credit….they weren’t giving up!

Thankfully none of the animals were hurt and the ice melted enough during the day to give the animals a drama-free return to their shelter.
