Scotty McCreery & Lauren Alaina Bring Crowd To Their Feet With “I Told You So” Duet

In 2011, the world was introduced to Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina, thanks to American Idol.
They both competed on the tenth season of the show where McCreery won and Alaina was runner-up.
During one of the results shows, Alaina and McCreery sang together for the first time and it was to the tune of Randy Travis‘ 1988 hit “I Told You So.”
The then-teenagers took on the country classic and did not disappoint. Their voices individually are incredible, but together, they are unstoppable.
McCreery and Alaina did such a good job that fans are calling them the next Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn. Now, we know no one can compare to those legends, but it’s just nice to be recognized in the same sentence!
Watching them perform together before they were both famous is just a reminder at how much they have grown as artists, but also stayed true to themselves.
Their performance earned them a a well-deserved standing ovation from judges Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler, and the entire audience.
