Pentatonix Enlisted Reba McEntire For An Enchanting Performance Of ‘Winter Wonderland’
on Dec 15, 2016
The a cappella supergroup Pentatonix teamed up with country music icon Reba McEntire for an enchanting performance of “Winter Wonderland.”
Apart of their Christmas special which aired on NBC Dec.14, the singing crew hoped to land the living legend to sing the classic holiday tune with them, road-tripping all the way to Nashville, Tennessee in hopes of landing a meeting with McEntire. Once they arrive in Music City U.S.A., they brain storm how to arrange a meeting with McEntire at a local diner.
Amidst their discussion of their strategy to meet up with one of the biggest names in music, McEntire appears at their table, sharing that she occasionally waitresses at the diner to “shock the heck out of the tourists.”
The group then admits they came all the way to Nashville to see her and then ask what her advice is in the making of the perfect Christmas special. The country singer shares that the key to making a successful Christmas special is finding the right song, which they inevitably decide is “Winter Wonderland.”
Pentatonix then breaks out into an a cappella rendition of the classic Christmas tune, with McEntire quickly joining in on lead vocals as the group harmonizes along with her.
Later on in the show, the legendary Dolly Parton reunites with the group for a performance of “Silent Night.” You can watch their enchanting performance in the video below!
