Trent Tomlinson Gives Back To Military Veterans In A Huge Way

Country singer Trent Tomlinson has been a fixture in the country music scene since he was a finalist on You Can Be A Star during his junior year of high school. He was signed to a publishing deal and wrote songs for Emerson Drive, Blue Country, Sara Evans, George Strait and Parmalee. 

Along the way, he also kicked off his own singing career, which includes ten singles, two albums, and an EP. The talented singer has always been a big supporter of our military and he recently went the extra mile with the help of The Home Depot Foundation.

“Recently me and more than 250 volunteers from The Home Depot Foundation got to spend the day getting our hands dirty, as well as chatting with some incredible veterans here in Nashville,” he wrote on Facebook. “We got the Patriot Place, an apartment complex that provides permanent supportive housing to formerly homeless veterans, looking nice and feeling more like home for those vets!!”

Along with spending the day upgrading Patriot Place, he also sang a few songs and was able to exchange stories with a veteran named Kent. Kent became a songwriter after serving our country and wrote a book about his life, which became one of Tomlinson’s favorite parts of the day.

Patriot Place, which is a 34-unit apartment complex, was in desperate need of paint, landscape, new fencing and better recreation spaces, all of which was accomplished by the hard working volunteers.

We love that Tomlinson is taking time out of his busy schedule to give back. Huge thanks to him and the other hard-working volunteers for all that they do, as well as the more than deserving veterans for serving our country.
