In 2002, country outlaw legend Hank Williams Jr. released the album The Almeria Club Recordings. He recorded most of the songs at The Almeria Club, which is a place that his father, the late Hank Williams, recorded several songs during his career.

The 13 track album included 12 songs, one of which he included twice – a studio version with a full band and an acoustic version.

The song, titled “The Last Pork Chop”, was written by Hank Jr. under his pseudonym Thunderhead Hawkins, and is a bluesy masterpiece.

Performing during his Hank Williams Jr. Album Showcase TV special on G.A.C., Bocephus displayed his masterful guitar playing with a badass solo, and further proved why he is considered a country legend.

His gritty vocals delivered metaphorical lyrics so well-written that you sometimes can’t tell if he’s talking about women or actual food.

Watch his performance below.

Hank Williams Jr.’s ‘A Country Boy Can Survive’ Box Set is available now on digital formats and in stores – it’s the perfect gift for the Bocephus fan in your life. Buy it here on Amazon!
