Redneck Behind Washing Machine ‘Devil Went Down To Georgia’ Makes TV Debut

Facebook/The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Redneck genius behind the white trash washing machine band who went viral following his “Devil Went Down to Georgia” video is finally showing the world his immense talent. Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon invited a group of talented individuals with unique musical abilities to showcase their gifts, one being Louisiana-native Aaron McAvoy.

“Bossier City, Lousiana” said McAvoy when Fallon asked him where he’s from, a city the talk show host has some history with. “I’ve seen photos of you with bleach blonde hair there.”

“Yes!” recalled Fallon. “I went there, we were doing a film there and I did karaoke!”

What a small world! The unique artist then went on to explain the story behind how he had the idea to enlist his washing machine to join him in a performance of Charlie Daniels‘ iconic tune. McAvoy was doing laundry one night when he heard his washing machine making a weird noise in the other room. Where most would find annoyance in the loud noise, McAvoy found a gold mine.

McAvoy was followed by adorable 11-year-old twins with a knack for DJing as well as dance crew Dragon House performing a unique dance to the tune of Childish Gambino’s “Redbone.”
