The Voice got heated when singing sensation Aaron Gibson took to the jittering NBC stage to give a jaw-dropping rendition to R.E.M.'s "Losing My Religion". While he successfully secured coaches Blake Shelton, Miley Cyrus, and Alicia Keys, odd man out Adam Levine was no stranger to the praise of this incredibly talented singer. However, upon Levine seemingly jumping on the Gibson bandwagon, Shelton was not about to let the only judge out get in on the praise!
Levine started off the commentary by assuring the singer "Man, I'm jealous of your voice!" Shelton, being the instigator he is, responds to Levine's comment with a confident rebuttal of, "And that's why you didn't push? Because you're jealous, you mean?"
Levine did not take too kindly to that, mocking Shelton's comment and continuing with, "You are the dumbest person I have ever known!" However, the crowd is all laughs to their coaches' banter.
As the coaches continue to rave about the musician's authentic and original sound, Shelton warns the talent that Cyrus is going to do everything in her southern power to snag the man! Boy, was he right! Cyrus began to glorify Gibson, essentially talking so much that Shelton was forced to interject her speech by yelling "Oh my God! When do you breathe? Do you have gills?"
The audience bursts into laughter as the two coaches battle it out for the chance of having this promising artist on their team! The banter seemed endless, even leaving Levine and Keys eager and begging for the man's choice!
Tune in to NBC on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c to see who these contestants choose, and watch the sneak peek below for endless laughs!
