Over two months after releasing his new single “Watered Down,” Trace Adkins finally has a music video to go along with it!

“Watered Down” was released on January 24, the same day that Adkins announced his intentions to release a new album. Titled Something’s Going On, the album is set to make its debut on Friday (March 31).

Written by Matt Jenkins (“Cop Car,” “Setting the World on Fire”), Trevor Rosen (“Sangria,” “I Met a Girl) and Shane McAnally (“Somewhere With You,” “Mama’s Broken Heart), Adkins admitted that he felt an instant connection to “Watered Down.” The song’s main theme is that of maturity, as the narrator realizes that he’s toned things down a bit as he’s grown older.

Still, the narrator recognizes that he’ll always have a bit of that wild spark inside of him. Only now that he’s older, that wild streak is more “watered down.”

When “Watered Down” was first released, Adkins also debuted a lyric video to go along with it. The simplistic video shows Adkins working on his farm outside of Nashville, which is where the video was shot.

Now, Adkins finally has a complete video for “Watered Down” to share with his fans. Adkins debuted the video on CMT on Saturday (March 25). Like the lyric video, the official video for “Watered Down” shows Adkins completing tasks on the farm, from moving things with his tractor to making himself a cup of coffee.

A large portion of the video shows Adkins standing at the kitchen sink, as he looks out the window and contemplates his life. He can be seen smiling as he thinks about his past, realizing that although he’s changed, he’s “still crazy.

We think that Adkins’ video for “Watered Down” is right up there with some of his best! Tune in below to check it out, and let us know what you think.
