Willie Nelson Found A Unique Way To Give Back With Launch Of New Marijuana Brand

Rob Jagendorf

Willie Nelson is celebrating the launch of his premium cannabis brand, Willie’s Reserve, with shows in Redmond, Washington on Saturday (July 23) and Greenwood, Colorado a week later. The country music legend is gearing up for the release of his brand in both states later this summer and giving back in a big way.

Willie’s Reserve plans to expand sales to more states as they become legalized and advocates seek to end marijuana prohibition in the U.S. The brand includes products such as disposable vaporizer pens, concentrate cartridges, packaged cannabis flower and pre-rolled joints called “ready rolls.”

Plants grown for Willie’s Reserve are cultivated by independent farmers following the Farm Aid mission to support environmentally safe growing practices.

“I’ve smoked enough, and I want to give back,” Nelson said in a prepared statement “Now that legalization is spreading across the country, there’s a great opportunity to build a company that can help a lot of people. I hope it gives social justice to those who are incarcerated for doing what we’re now doing legally.

“I am also committed to have our crops farmed in an environmentally responsible way; to revitalize small farms and to grow it as clean as possible. So far, I’ve really enjoyed meeting with the best growers.”
