Ashland Craft enlisted her talented friend Trenton to join her for an acoustic duet to the tune of the tear-jerking song. The two friends sat side-by-side during their performance, each strumming along eloquently in a rhythm highly reminiscent to Rock's original.
The song tells the story of a two former lovers struggling to get over their break-up, detailing the different ways they attempt to move on with their lives. Rock narrates a man trying to drown out the memory of his ex with whiskey, hoping to "drink [her] away," while Crow sings of a woman attempting to move on through a series of failed relationships.
"Picture" acted as the ninth track off Rock's Cocky album featuring the vocal stylings of Crow. After a long fight with her label, A&M Records, Rock was unable to obtain permission to release the original as a single, forcing him to re-record the song with country singer Alison Moorer in order for the song to make its radio debut.
