Young Dutch Girl Ignites ‘The Voice’ Stage With Feisty ‘Jolene’

The Voice Kids / YouTube

Looks like Dolly Parton has fans across the Atlantic Ccean! Gunning for a spot on The Voice Kids in 2015, a young girl from the Netherlands by the name of Geranne delivers a heart-stopping rendition of Parton’s iconic “Jolene.”

Armed with her acoustic guitar, the talented young singer left the judges stunned with her insane vocals. While young Geranne stumbles a bit on one of the lyrics halfway through, the talented vocalist quickly regained hold of her performance, finishing strong to an impressive three out four judges waiting to argue for her to join their team.

“Jolene” was written and released by Parton in 1973, going on to be ranked as No.217 on Rolling Stone’s list of the “500 Greatest Songs of All Time.” In addition to the song’s massive success at the time of its original release, “Jolene” went on to win a Grammy Award 43 years later with the help of a capella group Pentatonix.

You can watch her rendition of “Jolene” below.
