Comedian and actor Bob Saget unexpectedly passed away on January 9, 2022. His wife, Kelly Rizzo, expressed her grief in a post she published on January 15:

I’m trying, really trying, to not think I was robbed of time. But instead to think: How lucky was I that I got to be the one to be married to THE MOST INCREDIBLE MAN ON EARTH. I was the one who got to go on this crazy ride with him and be in his life these last 6 years. We had that time to make each other the happiest we’d ever been and change each other’s lives forever.”

She went on to say, “Most importantly. I have no regrets. We loved each other so damn much and told each other 500 times every day. Constantly. I know how much he loved me until the very last moment and he knew the same. I’m so grateful for that. Not everyone gets that.”

Rizzo has remained open about her grief in the months that have passed since Saget’s death. In October, made a special post about what would have been their fourth anniversary. The post contained a slideshow of photos from their wedding.

She said, “Happy 4 year anniversary, honey. Our wedding was the most special day for us and our loved ones and I will cherish these memories for the rest of my life…The world will never be the same without you. I love you forever.

Nearly one year after Saget passed away, Rizzo opened up further in a new interview with Kelly Clarkson on The Kelly Clarkson Show. Rizzo, who runs a popular food blog called Eat Travel Rock, was on the show for a cooking segment.

When Clarkson asked Rizzo how she’s doing now, she responded:

You know, I’m doing okay all things considered. It is a journey. I’ve just completely been focused on gratitude, and being grateful for the time that we had together, versus being upset that we didn’t have more time. And you know Bob, he lived like a thousand lifetimes in his sixty-five years, and he truly changed the world, and he made it a better place, and he made an impact, and that’s really all you can ask for in life, right? It makes me at peace with it.
