Brandon Lake paused his performance at Cowboy Church at CMA Fest on Sunday (June 7) after noticing a fan had passed out.
Sunday marked the final day of CMA Fest, the four-day country music festival at venues all over Nashville. Christian artist Brandon Lake took over the Chevy Riverfront Stage along the Cumberland River for Cowboy Church.
According to 102.7 The Coyote, “The event sold out its main viewing area and required not one but two overflow zones running livestreams to accommodate the crowd.”
A video taken by the CMA shows just how packed the venue got!
Lake told the crowd that he hoped that the turnout would get them a bigger venue for next year.
Brandon Lake Brought Out The Legendary CeCe Winans
After singing a few songs solo, Brandon brought out the iconic gospel singer CeCe Winans to perform their duet “I Know A Name.”
During their song, people in the front row alerted Lake to a fan who had fainted. He stopped the performance and called for medics to give aid to the fans.
“This is more important,” he told the crowd.
As medics and security raced to help the fan, Lake immediately began leading a prayer with the help of Winans.
“Well, in Jesus’ name, revive him right now. Give him strength,” Lake prayed.
Winans could be heard praying into her microphone, though her words were unclear
The heat had already reached 80 degrees at 9 in the morning, and with the venue being outside in the sun, that likely didn’t help.
American Songwriter reports that the fan was taken out of the arena within ten minutes. A TikTok user commented on the video below claiming the girl who passed out was her daughter, and revealed her daughter is okay after the situation.
The girl’s name is Audrey and she, too, commented on the TikTok video revealing that she is just fine. Thank goodness!

Cowboy Church continued, with Winans performing “Come Jesus Come.”
