BREAKING: Delta Airplane Flips Upside Down During “Incident” While Landing
on Feb 17, 2025

Numerous injuries have been reported after a Delta flight crash landed at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday (February 17).
Delta flight #4819 traveling to Toronto, Canada, from Minneapolis, Minnesota, flipped upside down upon landing in the Canadian town just before 3 p.m. local time.
Footage of the Bombardier CRJ-900LR, which can seat up to 88 passengers and four crew members, was captured after it came to a rest on the runway. The plane is seen smoking and missing part of the tail section with one wing badly crumpled.
Passengers were seen evacuating the aircraft. The airport said all passengers and crew members were accounted for. Local news reports that at least 8 individuals suffered injuries and were transported to the hospital, three of whom were in serious condition.
Ambulance service Ornge issued a statement saying that it sent three helicopters and two ambulances to the site of the accident. They also shared that one pediatric patient with “critical injuries” was being transported to Sick Kids, a children’s hospital associated with the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Toronto.
They added, “One male patient in his 60s being transported to St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto with critical injuries. One female patient in her 40s being transported to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto with critical injuries.”
The airport was shut down, halting all arrivals and departures following the crash.
One of the passengers who escaped the wreckage shared dramatic footage on social media.
Passenger John Nelson shared a video to Facebook moments after the crash. He can be heard narrating the video, saying, “We’re in Toronto. We just landed. Our plane crashed, it’s upside-down. Fire department is on site. It’s upside-down. Most people appear to be OK. We’re all getting off. So [that’s what’s] going on.”
Another passenger shared a clip he captured as he exited the plane. The video shows a flight attendant directing passengers to the emergency exit of the upside-down aircraft.
In an audio recording captured by air traffic control, a helicopter pilot in the area told the control tower what he was seeing from the air.
“LifeFlight 1, Medevac, just so you are aware, there are people outside walking around the aircraft there,” air traffic control says.
“Yeah, we’ve got it. The aircraft is upside down and burning,” the helicopter pilot replied.
It’s unclear what caused the plane to flip over and if winter weather was a factor.
This is a developing story.
