Brian Kelley’s Wife Addresses Serious Privacy Concerns Impacting Their Home Life
on Mar 23, 2024
Brittney Kelley, wife of former Florida Georgia Line member Brian Kelley, took to Instagram to address an ongoing privacy issue that has been disrupting their home life weekly.
Brittney Kelley’s Plea For Privacy
Kelley’s wife disclosed that someone has been repeatedly flying a drone over their residence. She is now appealing to the individual behind it to “please stop” invading their personal space. If the issue persists, they’ll have no choice but to involve law enforcement.
“It’s been week after week. Our home is the only place we have privacy & we don’t want to have to come find you with the Sheriff and make it awkward.”
Brittney clarified that while they are open to interacting with fans in public, they understandably want to maintain the privacy of their home life.
She wrapped up her message by stating, “Please respect us. We are happy to say help in public but the drone hovering over our private home & watching us at the pool etc. is very invasive. Please stop.”
Brian Kelley’s Solo Debut
The country singer gave fans a sneak peek of his upcoming solo album with his latest track, “Kiss My Boots.”
Kelley described the single, co-written with Dylan Guthro and Blake Redferrin, as born from a challenging period in his life. He channeled his hurt and frustrations into lyrics, offering a tasteful expression of his emotions without divulging specific details.
This process brought him healing, and he aimed for the track to provide similar liberation to his audience.
Speculation Surrounding Lyrics
Since releasing “Kiss My Boots,” Kelley’s lyrics have stirred speculation among fans, seemingly directed at his former Florida Georgia Line bandmate, Tyler Hubbard.
“Want the world to know that you did me wrong /
I don’t know how you act sweet, after how you did me /
Here’s a middle finger to you through a song.”

Brian Kelley hasn’t confirmed if his new song is about Tyler Hubbard or the Florida Georgia Line breakup.
However, he did share that during a tough time a few years back, he sought guidance from his mental health coach. The coach advised him to remain patient and observe how things unfolded.
“So, as hard as it was in those moments to take the high road, I took her advice, and I sat back and ‘ate my popcorn.’ Everyone processes differently. I went inward. And it all came out in a song. Now it’s time for y’all to get your popcorn.”

In a four-minute video on Kelley’s YouTube channel, the singer/songwriter delves deeper into the backstory of the single. He described that the song showed up “a little bit as a surprise.”
“‘Kiss My Boots’ is a song about a relationship,” Kelley admitted. “It’s a song about betrayal, and it’s a song about, for me, getting my power back and saying how I feel, saying what I think, and owning that in a song. I’ve learned so much about songwriting over this record cycle. ‘Kiss My Boots’ is another example of just continuing to show up. You never know what you’re going to get. You never know what idea you’re going to land on. And as a songwriter, as an artist, you always want to put your truth into songs. You always want to leave a little bit of yourself and as much as yourself in these songs. And that’s what I did. I poured my whole heart out and left it right there on the table.”

Hubbard’s Response
Tyler Hubbard responded by downplaying the speculated drama, saying he’s too invested in his own career to engage with it.
“Just like I’ve always said, I’m happy for BK, this is what he wanted and this is what he initiated, and I hope he’s happy and that he’s doing his thing and I’m doing my thing,” Hubbard told Holler. “I wish him the best, and yeah, as far as that’s concerned that’s about all I have to say about it.”
Kelley’s Upcoming Album
“Kiss My Boots” is the latest addition to Brian Kelley’s debut solo album, Tennessee Truth, set to release May 10.
Produced by Dann Huff, the album is expected to include tracks like “See You Next Summer,” “Dirt Cheap,” “How We’re Livin’,” and “Trucks, Ducks, Bucks & Beer.”
